To New Students
Welcome to the VATCAN Flight Academy.
Our mission is to provide you with the tools necessary to earn the VATSIM "P1" Pilot Rating.
Your final exam will be a short (+/- 20 minute) flight test.

In preparation for the Flight Test your Instructor will guide you through the following:
1) You will Install and configure the necessary software to competently fly online with ATC Services.
2) You will be able to interpret weather conditions.
3) You will be able to file a simple, legal, and safe Flight Plan.
3) You will be able to fly correct headings, altitudes, and speeds.
4) You will have a basic knowledge of Radio procedures and phrasing.

Please remember that there are others on the network with you...be courteous and considerate and respect their rights, as they should yours. The most important thing is to HAVE FUN, ENJOY, INTERACT and if you aren't careful you might even learn something!
